


Meet Carena
I’m Carena Lowenthal—Registered Dietitian, National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Resiliency Trainer, and a lifelong believer in the power of compassionate support.
For over 20 years, I’ve helped people feel better—not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and energetically. Whether they’re navigating divorce, burnout, menopause, or a health scare, my clients come to me because they’re stuck. They’re exhausted. They’re smart and capable—but something isn’t clicking. That’s where I come in.
My approach is personal, holistic, and empowering. You won’t find one-size-fits-all advice here. I listen deeply, uncover hidden obstacles, and walk beside you as you reconnect with yourself. You will learn mindfulness and stress reducing techniques, how to lead with your strengths, how to practice self-compassion and acceptance, find inner peace and balance, set boundaries that stick, and build a wellness plan that actually works in your real life.
I blend science-backed training with a whole-person lens. That means we might talk about nutrition one day and stress management and sleep the next. I will always hold YOUR agenda and YOUR goals as the focus and connect the dots between where you are and where you want to be, what’s holding you back, and how to move forward. Coaching is future-focused, based on the theory that you are meant to thrive in your life, not just survive. We will discover thoughts, behaviors, and limiting beliefs and integrate this with current and relevant research about change, neuroplasticity, and motivation. Coaching isn’t a quick fix, but it could be the missing piece to your health and wellness puzzle.
Everything is confidential (under HIPPA), non-judgmental and collaborative. We will co-create clear, manageable steps each session, “a wellness prescription”, to clearly describe what you will be doing between sessions. I help keep you focused and engaged, accountable and successful on your Wellness Journey.
You don’t have to do this alone. You never did. You will have to do the work, AND I will be there right beside you as you hit milestones in the process. Many clients use wellness coaching in addition to therapy, weight loss programs, Registered Dietitians, Physical Therapists, as well as their medical doctors and specialists. Coaching can accelerate continuum of care and improve health outcomes in addition to regularly scheduled appointments. If you are not getting the results you want, and/or we aren’t a good fit, I will provide referrals or recommendations when possible.
My clients include working parents, medical professionals, caregivers, women in transition, teens, and people who’ve spent years putting everyone else first. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a starting point—and a coach who sees the whole you.
